Tell us a little about yourself.

Married to April, three children (twins- Alex and Tucker, Evelyn), Financial Planner with WeathPoint Investment Management, grew up swimming competitively and playing all sports, interests are spending time with family fishing (fly fishing and bass fishing), golfing, mountain biking, trail running, going to the beach, jiu jitsu, and shooting guns.

What were you doing before CrossFit?

Brazilian jiu jitsu for 5 years and counting,  And, playing golf.

What were your thoughts after your first WOD?

Love it! Exactly what I signed up for.

What were your goals when you joined Coyote?

I had very poor attendance the first 3 to 6 months so my only goal, then and now, is to make it to class consistently 3-5 times per week.

Have you achieved any of these goals?

Yes.

Has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?

I’m in much better shape and have gained a lot of strength through CrossFit which makes all of the other activities better.  Increased energy.  Love the Coyote Community.  Love have all of my family participate in Coyote

Do you have any special memories/achievements during your time at Coyote?

I still laugh with my family about the time the entire class was waiting for me to finish as class with pull-ups.I already had one green band on for assistance and I had to ask Coach Claudia to get another green band for me to finish.  Humility.  Also, the most recent funny time was having Coach Meredith suffer (not her words) watching me do single double unders and trip on a rope for 40 minutes and still not finish 17.5  I can’t believe she didn’t throw something at me.  All the coaches are great.  Acheivements- I feel like I get a little better every day.

What advice would you give someone just starting at Coyote?

Commit to showing up three to five times per week focused and read to put in the work, and you will see results.

Tell us something we might not know about you?

I never was a Boy Scout, but I can recite the Boy Scout Law from listening to my brother say it when I was 8.  A Scout is trustworthy, loyal…
