When did you start doing CrossFit?

I Started at coyote a little over a year ago. I had been doing the same exercises at a gym in Alabama before we moved. Definitely without the same intensity!

What is my favorite WOD?

Favorite WOD is any kind of chipper

What is your least favorite WOD?

Least favorite lift is snatch

What is your favorite lift?

Favorite lift is deadlift

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Favorite cheat meal is homemade chocolate chip cookies

Tell us a little about yourself.

I’ve been married to Chris for 21 years. For the last 13 years I’ve been fortunate enough to be a full time wife and mother to our 3 children. Before that I taught second grade.I love Auburn, using my embroidery machine and I am excited to begin turning an old camper we recently purchased into a glamper 😀

What were you doing before CrossFit?

Before Crossfit I was going to Spin classes and doing some exercises with weights. The 15  lb. dumb bell was too heavy.

What were your thoughts after your first WOD?

After my first WOD I thought, I really never want to do this again.

What were your goals when you joined Coyote?

My goals are just to come in and do my best every day.

Has CrossFit affected your life outside of the gym?

Cross fit has definitely changed things for me outside of the gym. My overall fitness is the best it’s ever been and mental toughness is where I’ve had the biggest change. I used to want to quit anything when it got too hard.

Do you have any special memories/achievements during your time at Coyote?

A special memory I have at Coyote is when I first walked in to the 8:30 class and feeling completely welcomed and one of the group. It’s always encouraging and supportive.

What advice would you give someone just starting at Coyote?

To someone just starting at Coyote I’d say, “You’re going to love it here! The 8:30 class has the most fun!!”

Tell us something we might not know about you?

Something you might not know about me is that I’d rather wall sit for 10 minutes than play the pizza box game.
