Anything with running, especially anything more the 400m!

Tell us a little about yourself.

I’ve been married to my husband Frank for 22 years, we have 3 children, Peyton (18) who just graduated from Germantown and is headed to State this fall, Jill (17) who will be a senior this year at Germantown, and Quinn (11) who is headed to Germantown Middle School.  We have an adopted  85# Golden Retriever, Nash, the real “baby” of the family.

We moved here from  just outside Nashville, TN about three and a half years ago.  We are still big Tennessee fans, so we are getting some grief about letting our daughter go to school here is MS!  Luckily I really like SEC football, so I’m still in a good location for that.

I am a Branch Office Administrator for Edward Jones.  I work with Heather Haik, here in Madison.

What were you doing before Crossfit?

Being a mom and not getting any exercise

What were your thoughts after your first WOD?

I can’t believe how out of shape I am.  How did I let this happen?

What were your goals when you joined Coyote?

To get back in the shape I was when I left Tennessee (I’m still working on that), though I am stronger since coming to Coyote. Also to do more WODs Rx

Have you achieved any of these goals?

I still need to lose weight, I have gotten close, then I tend to fall off the food wagon again.  But I can do a lot of the WODs Rx now.

Has Crossfit affected your life outside of the gym?

I pay a lot more attention to the food I eat, especially the quality of my food.

Do you have any special memories/achievements during your time at Coyote?

All of the people and coaches.  To anyone that has ever “coached” me at Coyote, those words  stay with me EVERYTIME I do that movement! I also did my first Rx WOD here at Coyote.

What advice would you give someone just starting at Coyote?

Stick to it, no matter how hard it is and don’t worry about how anyone/everyone else is doing, only compete against yourself.

I’m an identical twin.
